Dr. Olaf Bodamer had the pleasure of joining the One Rare Heart podcast host Derren Raser for the newly released episode: Kabuki syndrome – “I Sing The Body Eclectic”. Derren is not only the podcast creator, producer, and host – he is the dedicated father to his beautiful daughter who was born with a rare heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.
Each podcast episode, including Ep. 3 focusing on Kabuki syndrome, highlights stories of the patients, their families, physicians, and researchers who each play a unique role in the world of a rare condition. During the 30 minutes episode Derren intertwines interviews with geneticist Dr. Olaf Bodamer, All Things Kabuki founder Rene King, and a theater scholar from Brooklyn College, with his own personal experience to share a greater picture of Kabuki syndrome beyond the medical diagnosis.
